Whole30 Chicken Sausage Hash
Wow, I love this Whole30 Chicken Sausage Hash that I threw together this week! I'm currently on Day 13 of my first round of Whole30 and while I'm loving this entire journey - I was also getting very tired of EGGS for breakfast so I needed to find something that would satisfy my desire for a hearty breakfast without scrambled eggs (even though I added 2 fried eggs when I took this picture). Ha!
I love to just put things together and use my creative side so this was put together on a Sunday so that I would use up what was leftover from the week in my fridge. You can see what I made last week on Whole30 here.
- 1 package of (4) Aidell's Chicken Sausages (I buy them at Target or Hyvee), quartered
- 1 large sweet potato (cut into cubes)
- 5-6 raw brussels sprouts, shaved
- 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
How to Prepare Whole30 Chicken Sausage Hash
I used an electric skillet to cook this meal and it works perfect. Heat the skillet to 350 degrees. Add your oil and put in your sweet potatoes. Cook for about 4-5 minutes or until almost cooked. Next add in your sprouts and chicken apple sausages. Continue to cook for another 4-5 minutes or until everything is cooked through.
The apple sausages are already cooked and just need to be reheated to be ready to eat! Sprinkle on some sea salt, pair with a fruit and avocado and this is a perfect, well balanced Whole30 meal. This actually makes 2-3 servings and I will use this for breakfast again later in the week!
